This paper share findings from a grant-funded research project focused on the collaboration between ESOL and science teachers to investigate transmodalising with technology using infographics as a teaching and learning tool in upper elementary science classrooms with multilingual learners (MLs). The research was designed to answer the following question: How did the elementary ESOL and science teacher perceive and respond to the transmodalising pedagogy by implementing infographic teaching and learning in the science lesson with MLs? The qualitative data include semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and artifacts of students’ multimodal, multilingual infographics. The findings suggest that infographic teaching and learning can empower MLs to draw on their cultural and linguistic resources to convey science knowledge in disciplinary ways.
