This symposium proposal unites passionate scholars from diverse domains, including special education, sociology, policy studies, hip hop pedagogies, and historical perspectives. The symposium aims to highlight narratives of marginalized populations with intersecting identities in inclusive education. The scholars participating in this symposium utilize an array of theoretical frameworks such as Person-Environment Fit Theory, Dis-Crit, critical race theory and an anthology of case studies to unravel the intricate dynamics of how diverse stakeholders navigate the structures within inclusive education. Their scholarship delves into organizational contexts, environmental barriers, institutional racism, and multifaceted challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of stakeholders' complex realities. The symposium directly speaks to the AERA 2024 call on disrupting and combating racism.
