Sat, April 13, 11:25am to 12:55pm, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to explore the current status of mixed methods research (MMR) courses at the United States universities. Reviewing the public data from the Carnegie Classifications research universities, we generated a list of 279 R1 and R2 national universities to examine. Among the 279 universities, 130 universities offer MMR courses, which highlights a growing emphasis on equipping students with diverse research methodologies and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in academic institutions. The top departments offer mixed methods research courses include education, public health, sociology, communication, nursing, social science, and administration health services.
