Abstract

Through in-depth use of archives and pictures, my research informs critical conversations on oral history and educational historiography to provide important tools in the process of recovering and centering the voice of Chicanas to explain mundane racism that continues to exist at UCR through the erasure of the Chicana narrative. Through related literature and scholarly work on Chicanas’ educational experience. Centering their voices will advance our understanding of Chicanas’ educational experiences in higher education and fill critical information gaps. To critically analyze and re-center the voices of Chicanas educational experience at the University of California, Riverside I will be using the framework of LatCrit theory (1995) and Cultural Intuition by Dolores Delgado Bernal (1998).
