This paper presents a study of an integrated model for EdD research methods classes that includes a common, collaborative project across three research courses: Qualitative Research, Intro to Statistics and Advanced Methods. Drawing from current models of doctoral research education and educational theories of experiential learning and transfer, it examines students’ learning of research methods and their emerging perceptions of themselves as researchers. The study findings identify key pedagogical strategies for facilitating students’ learning across the sequence of courses and ways in which to further develop integrated models of research methods classes.
