Males with a disability have different transition experiences and adult outcomes than their female counterparts. This study examined stakeholder perceptions and recommendations regarding post-secondary transition for young men with disabilities. We conducted focus groups with high school young men with disabilities, post-high school young men with disabilities, and families of high school young men with disabilities in three high schools. Analysis revealed four major themes, aspirations for post-secondary life, concerns about post-secondary life, barriers to successful post-secondary goals, and solutions to perceived concerns and barriers. This study contributes to the broader knowledge base on special education transition practices by delving into the unique experiences, challenges, and needs of young men with disabilities as a distinct group.
