Much of the focus on the growing interest in sustainability in higher education has been on how to best serve students regarding pedagogies and curriculums. What has received less attention is students’ motivation to take sustainability offerings, their backgrounds, how this shape their views of sustainability and potential career pathways, and their professional career intentions in sustainability. This study investigated undergraduate students’ career intentions in sustainability who took a sustainability class. The results showed that sustainability interest and sustainability outcome expectations directly influence career intention in sustainability. However, sustainability self-efficacy had only indirect effect on career intention in sustainability through sustainability interest.
