Mental wellness is an emerging priority globally. Increasing consciousness via various methods (e.g., self-inquiry, meditation, prayer etc.) is effective in improving physical, mental health and resilience. Despite its importance for many fields, there is no unifying definition or accepted measure of the consciousness. This investigation describes development and validation of a The Awareness Atlas, a new measure of the manifestation of consciousness, Over 400 individuals from the United States, Canada, India, and Europe participated. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses demonstrated excellent validity. The scale can be used to examine changes in manifestation of consciousness with various experiences (e.g., meditation, life altering illnesses). Additionally, the scale may provide new avenues for studies related to a variety of global challenges.
