Abstract

This paper explores four elementary Bangla national textbooks of Bangladesh and critically reflects on the content to navigate the gender racism/gender-biased representation of girls. It analyzes how these textbooks are creating gender discourse in Bangladesh and creating a hemogenic and biased gender identity.
