Abstract

This literature review explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on higher education, focusing on its advantages, concerns, and ethical implications. AI integration in higher education has transformed traditional teaching and learning approaches, offering personalized and adaptive experiences for students. The review covers various AI applications and discusses ethical considerations, such as privacy, data security, bias, discrimination, and fairness in AI algorithms. The review highlights guidelines and frameworks for responsible AI implementation in higher education. Some gaps in existing research include disagreement on adapting assignments, the need for local AI ethics examples, and potential impacts on global education quality. This review calls for further research and collaboration to ensure AI technologies enrich education while upholding ethical standards and student well-being.
