Measuring Partnership Impact and Strength of Teacher Candidate Preparation After Program Redesign

Sat, April 13, 9:35 to 11:05am, Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Floor: Level 4, Room 409

Abstract

The Burton College of Education strives to positively impact the communities we serve. This action research study examined the extent to which our transformational program redesign has met that goal. A valid and reliable survey previously administered by the Louisiana Department of Education was completed by district partners and program completers. Data were analyzed to determine the strength of stakeholder partnership and satisfaction of completer preparation. Completers also gave feedback on the strength of their preparation. In addition to the survey data, persistence rates and VAM data were aggregated. Triangulation of all data supports the codification of our cycle for continuous improvement.
