Sun, April 14, 11:25am to 12:55pm, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall B

Abstract

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology advances, many governments and institutions around the world have started to prepare to integrate AI into K-12 classrooms. South Korea is progressing with AI integration into the curriculum by the 2025 period. This study investigated the leading cases of integrating AI into K-12 language teaching and learning. The results show four classifications from the cases based on the type of AI technology (e.g., machine-learning). Additionally, we derived the four implications from the results. This review will provide guidelines for K-12 English language educators to prepare for future AI-integrated language teaching and learning.
