Exploring the Perspectives of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professionals at Power 5 Institutions

Abstract

The rise of DEI roles in athletic departments, especially after the 2020 summer of racial reckoning, warrants further investigation. The purpose of this study is to explore the perspectives of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professionals at NCAA Power 5 institutions. Surveys and interviews were conducted with DEI professionals to better understand their experiences in advancing DEI within their athletic departments.
