Abstract

This qualitative study uses Sistah circle methodology to examine how the controlling images construct Black college women's identity using a hip-hop feminism lens. Furthermore, this study aims to gain a better understanding of how Black college women grapple with societal expectations on their campus as they navigate their collegiate journey.
