This collective case study sought to describe wellness as conceptualized by a group of teachers who scored higher or lower than their peers as measured by a quantitative wellness instrument. Qualitative findings indicated the three groupings of wellness elements of The Self, The World, and The Interface, and a variety of ways in which these groups of elements interact. Ultimately, a new holistic model of wellness was proposed to encapsulate participant conceptualizations of wellness. This model has potential to increase communication between those who supervise pre- and in-service teachers and the teachers themselves. Of note, these conversations should be centered around personal goals and actions, rather than expectations
