We studied participation of students with specific learning disabilities in career and technical education using an analytical framework that focuses on CTE occupational areas, and is based on four levels of CTE credit-taking in those occupational areas. We examined what their rate of participation is in 12 CTE occupational areas, and their participation rate in 2-year and 4-year degree programs. Furthermore, we used logistic models to predict enrollment in 2-year and 4-year degree programs based on their CTE credit-taking experience in each of those occupational areas. Finally, we also used logistic regression models to investigate whether taking any level of CTE credit in those occupational areas led those students to enroll in similar majors.
