Financial aid policies are racialized and can have a negative impact on Students of Color navigating the financial aid process. College financial aid websites serve as a focal point for students to receive information about the financial aid process and policies. This paper seeks to understand how policies related to financial aid disbursement are presented on websites at community colleges. Utilizing critical race policy analysis and critical discourse analysis, this paper makes connections between website language and text usage to broader racist and systemic barriers that impede community college Students of Color who are navigating college financial aid disbursement policies.
