This paper uses what the authors term educational justice as a theoretical framework to analyze the broader discourses of justice, equity, and democracy in Florida's educational policy under Governor Ron Desantis. Methodologically, the authors use critical policy analysis to review enacted legislation related to K-20 education in Florida and school and university responses to enacted legislative measures. The preliminary results suggest that Florida is leading a new era of educational reform focused on neoliberal, white supremacist, transphobic American exceptionalism. The proposed paper is aligned with the conference theme and contributes to dismantling systemic inequality in k-20 education.
