Utilizing a linear probability model, the current research explores the impact of utilizing 13 university-level support services on the probability of retention for international undergraduates on probation at a Southwestern U.S. public research university. These identified services belong to academic support, health and wellness support, student success programs, and learning and skill development categories. Analyzing self-assessment survey data from 254 students from Spring 2018 -2019, we find that using a university learning support service for students with learning and attention challenges, compared to being unaware of the service, is associated with a 49% decrease in the retention probability for on-probation international undergraduates, highlighting the need for improved support for international students with learning challenges via future research and practices.
