Studies has shown the student-teacher caring relationships in school effects students’ learning performances. However, in Taiwan, the strong emphasis of cognitive development in school seems to diminish the opportunities for students to develop their non-cognitive skills. To better understand student-teacher caring relationship in Taiwan’s school, the researcher translated Caring Relationship Survey (CRS) into Mandarin Chinese. Using the instruments in Taiwan and test for its validity and reliability in order to understand (1) the psychometric properties of the instrument translated and (2) whether there are different interpretations of Nel Noddings’ conception of care from Taiwanese students’ perspectives. The result shows that the best fitted model from Taiwanese students perspective are fairly aligned with Nel Noddings’ conception of care.
