School Board Partnership and Momentum for Sustained Attention to Equity

Abstract

Finally, a school board member for a large midwestern school district that has partnered with the center over several years, who will describe their use of the ECAP, focusing on the ways in which partnership data processes and tools led to shifts in policies, practices, and belief systems, and created momentum for sustained attention to equity, even in and in response to the current socio-political context.

Finally, session presenters will engage in a discussion with the current President of the American Educational Research Association, Dr. Tyrone Howard, and President of the National Council for Measurement in Education, Dr. Michael E. Walker. The presidents will comment on collaborative, critical, and context-driven approaches to educational inquiry and offer recommendations for collective inquiry within educational systems seeking to transform for more equitable experiences for all students.
