This presentation will name and focus on anti-Palestinian racism in education. We will discuss multiple forms of violence within North American formal schooling contexts through re/telling stories from our research and our experiences as Palestinian scholars. Erasure and silencing within curriculum and pedagogy are ever-present, especially given the most recent aggression on Palestinians in Palestine and the Diasporas. We ground our work through our positionalities and resisting anti-Palestinian racism through various methodologies. White supremacy, settler colonialism, imperialism, and capitalism are foundational oppressive systems and structures that undergird racism against Palestinians. This presentation will highlight the ongoing need to resist systemic anti-Palestinian racism in education and work toward liberation and justice.
