On this cross-generational panel, two of Geneva Gay’s former students and one senior curriculum scholar illuminate how Geneva’s five decades of theorizing and praxis have influenced their lives and inquiries. Presenters will discuss their inspiration from the life and work of Geneva Gay to highlight her pioneering work on diversity, multicultural education, and culturally responsive pedagogy,
and the original contributions she has made to the field of curriculum studies during the past half century. Through our stories and commentaries, we will also demonstrate diverse and valuable ways we are advancing Geneva’s work in the field of curriculum studies.
