This paper examines how one predominantly white institution (PWI) articulates its diversity statements and its responses to racial incidents that incorporate, situate, and support international students. Utilizing critical discourse analysis approach and drawing on qualitative data from the institutional website, this study aims to examine the issues of international students’ absence in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. This research contributes to the literature and theory as it incorporates and underlines the international lens to interrogate how DEI discourse is framed within the global white supremacy and racial hierarchy.
