Social justice (SJ) leadership has gained increasing scholarly and public attention in recent years across the world. However, few systemic reviews of the burgeoning international SJ leadership literature have been conducted. In this project, we aim to conduct a systemic review focusing on SJ leadership conceptualization, research methodology, and operationalization in different countries. Relevant publications identified will be screened and evaluated following a structured process. Additionally, we will conduct descriptive content analysis using bibliographic data to generate (a) a comprehensive overview of theoretical frameworks, (b) a summary of methodological characteristics of extant literature, and (c) a compiled list of validated measures of SJ leadership. Findings will inform future transnational discussions and collaborations to advance SJ leadership practices and research.
