The study explores the perspectives of 22 teachers on the pervasive influence of the technology sector on both society and the Israeli public education system. We argue that teachers' perceptions, whether they have professional experience in tech or not, are deeply rooted in and reflective of the social, economic, and political power that characterizes the industry. While exploring teachers' notions and how these may be informed by their previous professional background, we suggest that teachers' expressions reveal both stances of "carrying" and resisting tech ideology within schools and the education system. We also discuss the relationship between teachers' perspectives on the tech industry, the industry's societal role, and the educational aim the teachers embrace.
