Student Housing: Exploring an Essential Component in the Acculturation of International Students

Abstract

This study is structured to be an examination of peer-reviewed literature that investigate international college students' experience in the U.S. Literature indexed in Academic Search Ultimate, ERIC, and Education source databases, published between years 2013-2023 will be selected and systematically reviewed using the PRISMA (Moher et al., 2009) process. The intention is to explore the factors that guide international college students' choice of housing and how those factors impact their acculturation. The conclusion of the review is expected provide information that will benefit college decision makers and support the development of future empirical studies for further investigation.
