Session Type: Working Group Roundtable
The purpose of this session is for researchers from Canada and the United States to establish an ongoing collaboration beginning with the examination of conceptual/theoretical frameworks that encourage, support, and sustain leadership for flourishing schools. The researchers will partner regarding the positive psychology frameworks they have developed. Each is uniquely positioned within the positive psychology movement. The four research presentations consider well-being in principal preparation programs, principal well-being from a positive organizational perspective, mentoring principals for well-being, and creating a mentoring program for new principal well-being. This research provides an opportunity for a learning partnership across borders in North America to promote well-being for flourishing school leadership.
