Through diverse lenses, four scholars join together to share, compare and explore wellbeing in multiple environments. Our work showcases the value of holistic education in building caring and exemplary learning communities. The argument made is that more holistic methods that cultivate hope and justice are needed urgently to more effectively address the pressing challenges being faced globally and within local communities. With discussions including cases in the United States, New Zealand, Cambodia and Japan, the benefits of valuing whole humans at all stages of learning are illuminated. Through exploring how educators nurture holistic wellbeing for themselves, their students, their colleagues and their communities, we seek to share insights into holistic and collective wellbeing, providing hope and possibilities for transformational change.
