Session Type: Symposium
Sufficient and effective climate change communication and education (CCE) is critical if society is going to be able to respond to the ongoing climate crisis and transition to a sustainable society. The Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education (MECCE) Project brings together researchers and policy makers from around the globe to respond to current gaps in CCE. This symposium convenes team members working on various project components, including building global CCE indicators to enable monitoring of countries’ progress, developing qualitative country CCE profiles, undertaking a global census and survey of climate change organizations working in CCE, and examining the challenges and opportunities of CCE policy in federated systems.
