Session Type: Symposium
Pushing educational psychology research toward inclusive insights with social impact requires both individual scholars and organizations to make changes in their practices. Building on ongoing efforts to demonstrate the need for individuals to engage in multicultural and critical research, the purpose of this session is to illuminate both individual and structural changes that are not only desirable, but are needed for educational psychology to stop perpetuating oppression by maintaining the status quo. In this session, we highlight research journeys of scholars who are new and experienced in critical and multicultural research, and we both challenge and enable researchers and institutions to take concrete actions toward responsible research.
