Session Type: Roundtable Session
Much has been written about the effects of Covid and education, including that the pandemic highlighted the gross inequities among the nation's population (Bozkurt, et al., 2022). The Council’s Learning Renewal Resource Guide (March 2021) highlighted 12 priorities, including providing extended learning experiences through high impact tutoring (HIT). This session will feature papers involved in implementing and measuring evidence-based strategies for learning renewal via high impact tutoring. The papers presented will provide an inside look at solving an unwieldy, complicated problem exacerbated by the pandemic. Session presentations will provide an overview of high impact tutoring by key players and the results of data-driven decisions using evidence-based methods to improve the academic outcome of a statewide effort.
