We will present a curricular audit tool designed for faculty to self-assess the state of racial and economic justice in their classrooms, academic programs, and departments. Developed for multi-year curricular initiative at a comprehensive university with a strong liberal arts tradition, the tool supports faculty in every academic discipline across the university and treats different levels of complexity aimed towards transformational, rather than performative, change. Meant to generate conversation, the tool addresses both pedagogical and curricular content. We will outline our approach to curriculum, present the tool including the guiding principles for the six rubrics, and share insights gathered during implementation. We will ask attendees to reflect on and discuss how they might adapt the tool for their educational contexts.
