Session Type: Symposium
This session is a response to a Division A initiative, the EIA Committee’s Literature in Action. Intended to assist division members to develop and enact antiracist leadership practices, the participants of this session have all taken up this charge. The session authors all participated, in 2021, in the first Literature in Action focused on Radd, Generett, Gooden, and Theoharis’ Five Practices of Equity Focused School Leadership. We have all subsequently included racial autobiography as a tool in our leadership development teaching. We will briefly present individually on our results, and then spend the bulk of our time engaging in a panel discussion of our learnings and next steps, with ample space for the audience and a key discussant.
