Session Type: Symposium
In response to the theme of AERA 2024, “Dismantling Racial Injustice and Constructing Educational Possibilities: A Call to Action,” we propose a Symposium session that focuses on racial/ethnic disparities in the early care education workforce. Presenters in this session will show whether/how racial disparities are reflected in different domains of the ECE sector. We will then engage presenters in a discussion to talk through common patterns and differences across the papers and discuss next steps for the studies and ways to contribute to dismantling racial inequities within the ECE workforce.
