Session Type: Symposium
In the present session, researchers outline our logic model approach to guiding Educational Technology (EdTech) research and provide examples in studies of different EdTech products. We present several projects spanning a wide range of age-levels and domains, illustrating the breadth of the application. An external expert in EdTech research will serve as the discussant. This session will be of value to (1) EdTech developers, whose product development would be enhanced by applying this research and development approach; (2) to education researchers, who can use this logic model approach to structure research programs to improve educational products, and; (3) to educators and administrators, who seek to gain insight into determining whether EdTech products would be beneficial for their local contexts.
