The Black Educator’s Arts Stroll explores the intersection of education, arts, and Black culture. Collaborating with Black-owned businesses, it showcases the artistic talents of Black educators, including visual arts, music, writing, vocals, and photography. By fostering meaningful connections, the stroll creates an inclusive space for appreciating Black culture and sharing stories. Embodying the 2024 AERA Annual Meeting theme of “dismantling racial injustice,” the event challenges stereotypes, preserves cultural heritage, and empowers youth. This intentional space welcomes and affirms Black educators, promoting unity and pride. With diverse expressions of creativity and inspiring role models, the stroll highlights the importance of education and the arts in enriching society. Featuring selected educators from Philadelphia, it celebrates Black excellence in teaching and artistic expression.
