Session Type: Symposium
This panel will bring together experts on college admissions to share both research- and practice-based perspectives on the evolving landscape of equity and inclusion in higher education. We explore the challenges and opportunities arising from a post-affirmative action world, emphasizing the importance of promoting inclusion and representation. Drawing on extant research and real-world examples, the session will illuminate potential admissions strategies like Holistic Review to ensure equitable access and diversity in colleges and universities. Our goal is to foster a constructive dialogue, encouraging collaboration among educators, researchers, and policymakers to create an enriching and supportive educational environment for all students, regardless of their background or ethnicity.
