Critical Race Content Analysis in Children’s and Young Adult Literature (Table 7)

Abstract
This symposium brings together scholars engaging in the use of Critical Race Content Analysis (Perez Huber et al., 2020) to analyze how discourses of power and systemic forms of oppression emerge in the storylines and images represented within children and young adult literature. The symposium will advocate and offer possibilities for anti-racist and social justice perspectives in children’s and young adult literature.
