The critical importance of early childhood education is well understood among educational researchers and educators. Yet there is not much consensus on what works, under what context, and to what extent for promoting early childhood learning. These three papers share their findings from different contexts. Paper one reveals the impact of Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) on student reading and math, as well as their growth rate at each grade level from kindergarten to third grade. Paper two presents the preliminary findings from an early literacy intervention. Paper three focuses on problem-solving skills and the effect of early child support funded by the California Proposition 10.
