Session Type: Roundtable Session
This roundtable session focuses on teachers and the role of teachers in interventions for school improvement respectively. The first study presents the finding of a teacher incentive program from Dallas Independent School District, investigating whether this initiative had an impact on student achievement. The second paper shares two validated instruments that measure the effectiveness of professional development (PD) programs. The third paper discusses teacher buy-in and how to measure it in the context of sustaining and scaling-up interventions. The fourth study shares the results of using interconnected strategies to support and retain teachers in high-need districts.
