This symposium brings together both empirical studies and conceptually driven papers that speak to expanded notions of how OST programs can and should be designed, evaluated, and analyzed. While some papers foreground a youth- or relationally-driven design imperative, others highlight the important role that OSTs can play in broadly supporting youth learning opportunities across school and community contexts.
