Session Type: Business Meeting
This convening will include the review of the SIG’s business, awards, and a discussion with authors of a recently published Special Issue of the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership. This JCEL special issue, created by the SIG, offers multiple themes and entry points for readers to engage in dialogue, research, and reflection about systemic oppression and the blinders that can allow one to only see one side of a complex reality. In offering this special issue as a contribution to the social justice movement on anti-racism, we hope this collective work of the authors, reviewers, and editors will help shift social systems that perpetuate systemic racism.
