Recent demographic shifts within the United States and the Americas, has impacted our understanding of what it means to be Latina/o/x. The papers in this session push the conversation forward by exploring how demographic shifts in the South, the emergence of voices of indigenous communities and Latinx youth along with the exploration of the role of Race in LatCrit, change our understanding of what and how we research Latina/o/x students and communities. Collectively, the papers allow us to envision future directions of research and ensure that the voices of all Latinas/os/x is represented.
