Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
Division D offers an opportunity for graduate students and early career professionals to engage in mentoring with established professionals in the areas covered by the division (measurement and research methodologies). The mentoring session will involve discussions with mentors on different topics of interest to graduate students. Discussion topics can include (but are not limited to): diversity and social justice in practice and research; employment opportunities in different sectors; strategies for job searches; surviving the PhD life from ABD to doctorate—do’s and don’ts; getting research funded; keeping abreast of ed tech tools; and publishing. This session is open to graduate students who are members of Division D and invited mentors. Pre-registration is strongly recommended (a link to do so will be sent to the Division D listserv), but walk-ins will be welcome as long as there is space. Direct any questions to Emi Iwatani at eiwatani@digitalpromise.org.
