Curricular legislation has raised tensions in policies affecting the landscape of education in the United States. The Supreme Court overturned affirmative action in 2023. At the same time, legislation against Critical Race Theory, accompanied by calls for bans against related books have creeped across the broader educational landscape with increasing momentum. These examples are indicative of broader societal debates. During this panel discussion we aim to unpack the complexities of navigating the current socio-political climate and context of education.
