Session Type: Pre-Conference Mentoring Session
This session invites participants to reflect upon the role of critical scholarship in the abolition of oppressive systems, and in the creation of more just educational futures. It engages in discussions of the sociohistorical and political roots of racial injustice in schools with hope and loving-anger, while providing graduate student attendees with space to reflect on their own positioning in academic spaces and the unique tools they possess to disrupt the oppressive status quo.
