Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
Across the country, educational spaces that span across K-12 and higher education are grappling with how to advance educational equity in learning and instruction (e.g., gender, race, ableism, religion) within a politically charged inequitable climate. This session will be a working group collaboration with Division C and other scholars who are facing polarizing limitations based on university, state, and US policies. We will (1) share insights on how they are prioritizing equity in learning and instruction research and praxis and (2) facilitate conversations among participants regarding how they can implement this work as they face legislation and school policies that are not student-centered.
