The Parent Summit: Organizing Around Issues That Impact Marginalized Parents/Families/Students in Philadelphia

Abstract

The purpose of this session is to connect GCYO SIG members to organizers/members who are a part of The Parent Summit--an annual conference run by parents/families for parents/families to engage in equity work in Philadelphia schools. We plan to use this space to be in the community through dialogue, arts/crafts, and food. We hope to learn more about the powerful work of parents/families in the Philadelphia area.
