Adolescence and Youth Development Mentor Retreat for Doctoral Students

Abstract

The Adolescence and Youth Development (AYD) SIG Scholar Retreat is designed to provide professional and personal guidance to historically underrepresented doctoral students who demonstrate exceptional potential for leadership in adolescent and youth development research. The AYD SIG Scholar Retreat is a two-day interdisciplinary mentorship retreat consisting of workshop sessions, participation in the AYD SIG business meeting, and other community-building activities. Through the Scholar Mentor Retreat, the AYD SIG hopes to prepare graduate students for their future scholarly activities as active members of AERA and the field.
